Practicality and economy combine in the shape of this ULEZ-compliant 7-seater Vauxhall Zafira Exclusiv.

Registered at the end of July 2014 and finished in solid white with a contrasting charcoal interior, the car has covered just over 100,000 miles in total with supporting service history.

There is also a receipt in the file for a new clutch and flywheel at 86,000 miles.

New turbo just fitted with warranty, along with the associated pipework.

However, despite all this the car seems to put out a lot of smoke and use a lot of oil - burning it? We haven't the time to investigate further.

The body, in contrast, is in very good condition, with just a few light age-related marks and dings which can only be expected.

The Zafira is powered by Vauxhall's 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This particular engine is used in several different models across their range and so holds no surprises for anyone, and considering that the Zafira is quite a big car to haul around - especially if it has 7 people in it - it does actually offer some decent performance. It's no sports car or road burner but you don't feel as though its struggling at all, or that you're being left behind the rest of the traffic.

It does drive very nicely, actually, with a nice positive gearchange and clutch action.
