Something a little different, with enough retro charm to be different but modern enough to be a viable daily driver is this classic Rover 620SLi.
Hailing from the days of Rover's successful partnership with Honda which brought quality standards up a long way, the 600 series was based on the equivalent contemporary Honda Accord, which is no bad thing.
This particular example was registered in February 1995 on an 'M' plate and is finished in Kingfisher blue with a contrasting beige velour interior.
Remarkably for an almost 30-year old car, it has covered just 89,000 miles from new with plenty of supporting history. In fact is comes with a ring binder full of history from 1999 onwards, which is presumably when it was supplied through the main Rover agents in Malvern. It's still got the dealer's sticker in the rear window and their number plates on it.
On the road the engine pulls well, and the clutch and gearchange are nicely positive. The car looks to have a rear silencer from the turbocharged Ti model fitted, and this gives a muted but aggressive exhaust note which is quite addictive.
In generally good condition all round, although the body has a few marks here and there and a previous owner was clearly a committed but clumsy smoker resulting in some burns to the upholstery and carpet.
All that said, the car has an MOT until January 2025.
Useable retro classic which can only appreciate in value.
Most major credit cards accepted.
